Tenants
Responsibilities |

Tenants’ responsibilities are
listed in their Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement but the following
reminders should be noted particularly. |
|
Personal belongings are
your own responsibility and we are not liable for this part of the
insurance cover. We would suggest you arrange your own personal contents
insurance and that you keep your own door/windows secure when you are
away from your room. |

As each bedsit is
self-contained it is legally the tenant’s responsibility to obtain a
personal television licence. |
|
Please be aware that
some residents will work different shifts from others and closing your
door quietly would be appreciated. |
|
|
|
We
would remind you that personal visitors must be met at
the front door and escorted to your room, closing the
front door behind you. Please let your visitors know
your room number so that they know which doorbell to
press. Tenants must not allow guests to enter
Northcourts when they are not there. |

|
|
Please leave
toilets/showers in a clean and tidy state when you have used them,
especially when using the toilet. Equipment is available to help you do
this. |

No electrical equipment
is allowed in the bedsits other than that already provided, and
residents are requested to make sure they turn off all electrical
equipment/lights when they go out. |
|
As Northcourts can be a
mixed house it would be great, when using the public areas, if you can
be decently covered. Please do remember to lock the toilets/showers when
you are using them. |
